Until the Feather Chair HD existed, there was no 22" or 24" wide wheelchair with a 350–450 lb capacity that weighed under 45 lbs — making car loading nearly impossible for most caregivers and users. The Feather Chair HD changes that completely. At just 22 lbs assembled and 15 lbs with the wheels removed, it's the lightest heavy-duty, extra-wide wheelchair ever built — by a significant margin.

Available in two seat widths — 22" (350 lb capacity) and 24" (450 lb capacity) — the Feather Chair HD delivers the full support and space of a true heavy-duty wheelchair in a frame that anyone can handle. The 24" rear wheels are easy to grip and push, and the optional quick-release axle lets you pop them off with a button press, dropping the chair to its lightest possible form for loading and storage.

Feather built the HD with the same design principles as their original Feather Chair — aerospace-grade materials, a tight folding profile, non-pneumatic flat-free PU tires, padded fixed armrests, and a foldable seatback. The 1" seat and back cushions provide comfortable support, and the swingaway footrests pivot out of the way for transfers. All the features the original made famous, now in a wider, higher-capacity platform.
Optional Safety Accessories
The HD supports optional anti-tippers for added rear stability, and a quick-release wheel upgrade for the lightest possible load configuration. A travel carry bag is also available for storage and transport protection.
